POSITION SUMMARY

Maintain the safety, security, growth, and profitability of the DC by supporting daily Loss Prevention and Safety (LP&S) functions. Provide training, guidance, and direction to employees to ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company objectives, contributing to the growth and profitability of the facility.

 

Schedule: Friday- Sunday, 6am-6:30pm

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Open and close the building daily, including management of alarm systems, badge access, and CCTV surveillance equipment.
  • Conduct safety related trainings, including safety orientations and power equipment training.
  • Ensure compliance with CTPAT guidelines and regulations.
  • Investigate and document workplace accidents and injuries to determine root causes.
  • Conduct internal and external safety and security patrols and audits.
  • Monitor guard shack activity and incidents.
  • Drive departmental productivity and efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Coach and support the Loss Prevention & Safety Clerk to foster growth and development.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Consistently lead by example, demonstrate a strong work ethic, initiative, professional maturity, and dependability.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).
  • Skilled in giving and receiving constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Must be detail-oriented and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to motivate and collaborate to achieve departmental goals.
  • Must be reliable; able to maintain an excellent attendance record.
  • Must be Guitar Center certified to operate powered equipment or be willing and able to satisfy certification process.
  • Must be willing to obtain First Responder Certification through American Red Cross.
  • Positive attitude and demonstrated support for departmental and company-wide initiatives.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of experience in industrial safety, security, inventory control, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience is a plus.
