PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The SPO Coordinator is an entry-level position at Guitar Center responsible for facilitating and expediting the processing of special purchase orders (SPO). Tasks include managing purchase orders (PO's) in the retail Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and VendorNet, as well as loading item data into the enterprise Product Information Management (PIM) system. When entering item data into the PIM system, the SPO Coordinator is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information required to update existing items and to create new products.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
- Issues purchase orders to vendors based on Special Order Requests received from stores.
- Follows through on all special order tickets until items are received.
- Processes all tickets and requests that meet SPO guidelines.
- Verifies price changes and any other discrepancies or issues identified on purchase orders.
- Reviews internal audit reports to research and verify unconfirmed orders.
- Communicates with vendors on all orders that have not been confirmed.
- Contacts store associates and store management to help resolve issues delaying SPO orders.
- Responds to all SPO-related correspondence with a sense of urgency.
- Enters item data into the PIM system while ensuring data quality and completeness.
- Resolves any failures or errors that are generated during SKU creation or update processing.
- Meets or exceeds service level goals to complete tickets and process requests on-time.
- Covers tasks normally assigned to other SPO Coordinators when they are out of office.
- Handles additional duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a data entry capacity.
- 1 year of customer service experience.
- Skilled proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Proficiency with computers running on the Windows operating system.

Pay Rate: $20.00- $26.84/hr depending on background and experience.
