POSITION SUMMARY |
The Logistics Analyst supports Guitar Center’s logistics operations is responsible for planning the executing of inventory shipments for the Music & Arts division, with a focus on optimizing all shipments to provide cost-effective and timely deliveries. The Logistics Analyst also serves as a liaison between distribution centers, hubs, vendors, stores, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot transportation issues and provide accurate reporting for decision-making. This role is also responsible for managing, reporting, identifying trends, and cost recovery, with the ultimate goal of reducing domestic transportation carrier claims.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Planning and coordinating M&A shipments with our Transportation Specialist who execute shipments and act as a backup for that roll.
- Act as a liaison between distribution centers, hubs, vendors, stores, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot transportation issues and provide accurate reporting for decision-making.
- Prepare and maintain logistics M&A reporting, and identify cost, service, and process improvements which support strategic, financial, operational and strategic goals.
- Review and optimize shuttle routes for the Music & Arts division, including inhouse vs. 3rd party options.
- Conduct periodic reviews of hub markets to recommend adjustments that improve efficiency and service.
- Manage and file domestic transportation claims, identifying trends, and cost recovery, with the ultimate goal of reducing domestic transportation carrier claims.
- Provide backup support to logistics specialists as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE |
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 4+ years of logistics or supply chain experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
